For the first time in Toronto and Montreal, the Zingaresca Ensemble (USA) presents its new program:
Songs of the Romani (Gypsy) Road.
There is music that knows no borders. It is born on the road, carries the memory of generations, and speaks a language understood by everyone. The Zingaresca Ensemble has carefully gathered exactly such pieces in this program.
Songs of the Romani (Gypsy) Road is a vivid journey through the musical traditions of Eastern Europe, where Russian romances, Romani and Jewish songs, virtuoso seven-string guitar, and dance motifs come together to form a living story about love, freedom, joy, and longing.
