About the event
"Energetic, Virtuosic, and Soulful"—these are just a few of the words used to describe the performances by the Zingaresca Ensemble. "Evening Songs from a Neighboring Village" is a brand-new program that taps into the classical Eastern European guitar heritage along with Romani ("Gypsy") and Jewish traditions. This concert is sure to leave you speechless, as the members of Zingaresca include the renowned Romani virtuoso Vadim Kolpakov, the innovator in the revival of the seven-string guitar Oleg Timofeyev, the Juilliard-trained baritone Anton Belov, and Alina Nazarevich, a Romani singer and dancer from Kyiv, Ukraine.
